A little bit about me...
I never knew my "aha!" moment as a writer and editor would strike during a late winter day in 2017 in Boston. Stepping outside into the snowy slosh of Boston Logan International Airport, I had no idea that a science conference would ignite my passion for storytelling in ways I couldn’t have imagined. My name is Madelyne Maag, and over the last decade, I’ve been able to blend my love for words and research with my passion for breaking down complex topics that benefit us all.
With a dual Bachelor's in Magazine Journalism and Spanish Literature from the University of Missouri, my journey started in the world of journalism. My skills gradually expanded into a deep expertise in marketing, SEO, and technical writing. My most recent experience with EM Search Consulting honed these skills further, allowing me to craft high-ranking SEO content, collaborate on impactful proposals, and mentor emerging talent. Nothing has fascinated me more than getting to adapt to new industries and bring them clients who are enticed by their products. From healthcare to home services, each project and proposal I’ve worked on has enriched my understanding of effective communication.
As far as my passions go, I’ve continued to expand upon them with each career step —astronomy, healthcare, STEM education, accessibility, financial sustainability, and, most importantly, the environment. I’m driven by a desire to make the world better, one footprint at a time. Beyond the desk, you’ll find me hiking, kayaking, or exploring local food and art scenes, always with a dash of humor and a corgi by my side.
